They're not changing their name but New York's legendary thrash metal band Anthrax is changing singers, again. After all the rumor floating around about well known vocalist joining the band, most notably Corey Taylor of Slipknot and Stone Sour, we have it on good authority that the band has chosen to go with a local guy named Dan Nelson, who was the singer for the Lindenhurst, New York band Me, My Enemy. Me, My Enemy has no official site, only a MySpace page with limited information about the band and no band photos. They had music on their page until December 4th when but currently have no music up at this time. Dan sounds quite a bit like John Bush and has even listed him as one of his primary vocal influences.
Anthrax had reportedly been working with Slipknot/Stone Sour vocalist Corey Taylor to write their next album so with a new singer in the band, the possibility of new Anthrax music in 2008 could be a reality. Congratulations to Dan and to Anthrax. We're looking forward to hearing and seeing you in 2008!
