Review - 3 Legged dogg - Frozen Summer

3 Legged dogg-Frozen Summer (Perris Records 2006)

ADaf

Album Cover: 3 legged dogs out 10

Sorry but that album cover its just lame….I mean what the hell is that supposed to be anyway? ...a moon? some kind of stuff inside a piece of ice? …what? ...who knows,
all I know is that… that’s one horrible album cover.

Songs: 8 frozen stars out of 10

This is the debut album from this new “Supergroup”, featuring Carlos Cavazo (Quiet Riot) on lead guitar, Jimmy Bain (Dio) on bass, Vinnie Appice (Dio,Heaven and Hell) on drums, Brian Young (David Lee Roth) on second guitar and Chaz West (Jason Bonham Band) on vocals.

All the songs on this album sound pretty good, these guys are all excellent musicians, and they create a unique sound, which basically consists on a good combination of heavy stuff mixed with a zeppelinesque feel.

The lyrics are all decent, except for a couple of misses ("you left me for dead, then you went and shitted in my bed" WTF? WOW )

I only wish they would have included more songs into this album, with only 8 songs the album feels like its missing something (album lasts barely more than half an hour), maybe they should’ve included a couple of covers, intros,or maybe some instrumentals.

Comments:

I really like this album,I think overall I it’s a pretty good album, I honestly cant find a single bad song in here,
I just hope this band doesn’t break up (you know with Vinnie touring with Heaven and Hell and all) so we can hear even better stuff in the future, I know they have the potential!.
