Review of - Formloff Adjø Silo

Formloff - Adjø Silo

Cover - 4 slices of white bread out of 10
it's plain, and purple... it has a picture of a dude, standing with his 2 dogs, it has the name of the band, and the name of the album.
Adjø Silo, means "Goodbye Silo" in english.
The booklet has listed a bunch of people whos thanked and such, and a picture of a 60's houswife.

Music - 6 breadmonster vocals out of 10
I said bread monster vocals instead of cookiemonster, since "Formloff", means "white bread" in english.. duh!
Ok, the songs are in Norwegian, so I will translate some of the song titles.
The music is a cross cross between black metal, rock, and viking metal.
(Viking metal means guys singing with an opera simmilar voice)
The lyrics are humorus, and sometimes even "seroius" but they arent funny unless you understand it.
The songnames such as "Soviets Modified", "Arild Menzönis traumatic life" and "midlife Crisis" gives a good image of what you can expect to hear in the lyrics.
Some of these riffs, sound alot like 80s thrash metal, and not so much black metal, and the cookie-monster vocals are pretty decent, sounds alot like Glen Benton, the clean vocals, might give you an impression of the new genre of metal.. core-metal?
For being an unknown band from Norway, trying out something new, they get 2 thumbs up.
Too many bands these days just jumps the bandwagon, and makes the same shit, heard from all the rich kids who wants to be on TRL.
The drums here, I'm not sure who plays them, since he isnt given any credit in the booklet,
But he sounds pretty decent... alot of doublebass, and such.. (might be programmed, but it sounds cool.)

Overall
this is a band of a friend of mine, totaly unknown to the big masses, so I said, let me do an review of your album, and I got an album for free.. I guess thats what its like to be in the business. I get cool shit for free.
I think they are great at what they do, and I think the guitarplayer is really talented, and they have made a whole bunch of cool riffs, and melodies.
If you wanna know more about Norwegian language, buying this album is the first step to learn some phrases that can make you get by.
