This is the fourth album by Kristy Majors, and to be honest with you, this the only one I got from him as a solo artist, so I’m not very familiar with the rest of his discography, what made me bought this album, you ask?, well most of all, the good songs I heard on his myspace page, and let me just say that I was very surprised to find out that Kristy is actually a very good singer!, yes, this guy gives Steve “Sex” Summers a run for his money.
So let’s take a look at the songs as a track by track, ok?

1-“Terrible News”: cool instrumental intro for the songs…
2-“Wasted in America”-I like the intro to this one too, and the double voice sounds kind of cool, tough it can get a little annoying sometimes when you hear the same thing over and over again.
3-“Im alright”-killer bass intro! The lyrics are good too; this is one of my favourite’s songs
4-“Sex drugs and rock n roll”-in some parts this one sounds exactly like one of the songs from The Ramones, you know the part with the HOs! and YEAHs!!
5-“Kids on dope”-the chorus of this one reminds me the song “why do you think we called dope? By Love/Hate only in this case the lyrics goes: “that’s why keep your kids on dope”, but the melody it’s very similar
6-“Live without you”-this is one of the Jani Lane songs, its just ok.
7-“Zero superstar”-another so-so song
8-“Only the good die young”-a Billy Joel cover, I personally don’t like it too much
9-“Down to one”-another Jani Lane song, it sucks
10-“Greed”-this is a Keri Kelly song, it was originally recorded by Adler’s Appetite as “empty”, I really like this song a lot.
11-“A-ok”-a good song, I like the lyrics, is this song dedicated to Steve summers? probably.

Comments: With this album, Kristy manages to keep that fresh pop sound that was very successful with Pretty Boy Floyd, I don’t know if this album its better than “leather boyz with electric toyz”, but it sure beats later PBF crap like “A Tale of Sex Designer Drugs and the Death of Rock N roll”
